Beware of phishing email
ZA Bank reminds users to be cautious of a phishing email purported to be sent by the Bank. The email falsely claimed to be from ZA Bank, and requested a payment from the recipient and suggested opening an attachment.
We have no connection with the phishing email involved, and the case has been reported to Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Police for further investigation. Users are advised to delete the suspicious email without opening any links or attachments in the email, and not to disclose any personal information including login credentials and ZA Card details. ZA Bank will not request users to log into its website or mobile app to conduct transactions through SMS or hyperlinks in emails, nor will the Bank ask users to provide any sensitive personal or ZA Card information through hyperlinks.

The official website address of ZA Bank is bank.za.group/en/. Starting from 27 June 2024, we will send out transaction notifications, monthly e-statements, agreement changes etc. from the emails notification@service.bank.za.group and notice@mail.bank.za.group. For users who have agreed to receive our direct marketing emails, we will send them from bank.update@mail.za.group.
In addition to the above channels of communication, we may contact users with other dedicated email addresses for business purposes. These emails will always include a personal or account identifier and may include a clickable link that will lead users to our official website for further information. We will never ask for users’ login credentials or ZA Card details.
If users are concerned, please get in touch via the Online Chat in the ZA Bank App, or call our 24/7 customer service hotline on 3665 3665. If users have disclosed their personal information or made any transactions through the above channel, they should reset their account password and replace their ZA Card immediately in the ZA Bank App and report to the Police as soon as possible.
