What does purchasing power mean? And why is it necessary to freeze the purchasing power, e.g.when I’m placing Market Order?

Buying power refers to the available balance + funds in transit (excluding your frozen USD savings, other currencies account and fixed deposit).

A Market Order ("MO") is an order that does not require investors to set the price themselves. When placing a buy order, the order price will be set at the current ask price +2%, and the funds in your USD savings account will be frozen accordingly. When placing a sell order, the order price will be set as the current bid price -2%. When the stock price is higher or lower than the above price range, the order will not be executed immediately, it will continue to wait in the queue until the market closes.

Please note that ZA Bank does not guarantee that every order can be executed. The final transaction amount will be based on the actual execution price.

Total purchase amount (for reference) = Current selling price * (1 + 2%) x  Order Quantity
