What types of orders are available for the Hong Kong stock trading service?

Our Hong Kong stock trading service provides at-auction order/at-auction limit order/enhanced limit order/market order/odd lot order to meet your investment needs.

At-auction order consists of buy and sell orders without a specified price, available exclusively during the pre-market auction period. These orders are matched based on time priority.

At-auction limit order consists of buy or sell orders with a specified price. They are matched in price and time order according to the final reference equilibrium price but will not be executed at a price worse than this reference price.

At-auction order and at-auction limit order submitted after 09:22 Hong Kong time may be rejected by the Exchange.

An enhanced limit order is similar to a regular limit order, but it has greater matching flexibility. It can match with up to 10 queues simultaneously (from the best price queue to the 10th queue within 9 price levels), while ensuring that the transaction price does not fall below the input price.

A sell order can be placed up to 9 price levels lower than the best bid price, while a buy order can be up to 9 price levels higher than the best ask price. Any unmatched portion of the order will convert into a regular limit order at the originally input limit price, remaining in the order queue at that price level.

A Market Order ("MO") is an order that does not require a user to set the price themselves. After placing an order, the funds in your HKD savings account will be frozen accordingly. If the market order is not fully executed, an unfilled quantity will not remain in the queue for execution. Market order is not supported during pre-opening session.

Please note that ZA Bank does not guarantee that every order can be executed. The final transaction amount will be based on the actual execution price.

Odd lots are securities that are less than a board lot. Odd lots are not supported during the auction period and can only be sold after the market opens. Odd lots must be sold separately, and when selling, the entire number of odd lots must be sold. They cannot be combined with other board lots to place an order.

Note: Odd lot trades are normally executed at a few spreads inferior to the normal bid/ask quote.
