We’ve noticed a digital currency exchange website “hxxps://www.astralsec[.]com/” and its mobile app “Astral-Global Asset Allocation” (“Astral Websites/Applications”), which look very similar in design to the Bank’s official website and ZA Bank App.

We hereby confirm and advise that the Astral Websites/Applications and the company involved have no connection with ZA Bank and any of its associated companies. ZA Bank and its associated companies shall not be responsible for any loss or damage caused by or in connection with the Astral Websites/Applications. According to the reminder from the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), investors should be wary of the risks of trading virtual assets on an unregulated VATP. Investors may risk losing their entire investment held on the platform if it ceases operation, collapses, is hacked or otherwise suffers from any misappropriation of assets. Investors are also urged to check the regulatory status of VATPs on the lists of virtual asset trading platforms on the SFC’s website.
