Termination of TransUnion Credit Alert service (starting from 25 Feb 2026)

ZA Bank has recently identified incidents involving fraudulent SMS messages impersonating our name. We urge all users to remain vigilant.&nbsp;Do not respond to such messages, click on suspicious links, or call any unknown phone numbers.
&nbsp;
We would like to make the following clear:
- Effective from 28 January 2024, ZA Bank has been issuing text messages under the sender names “#ZABank”, “#ZA Bank”, or “#ZA_Bank”. Should you receive a message that does not commence with the “#” symbol, please be advised that it may have originated from an unregistered or unauthenticated sender.
- For users with Mainland China mobile numbers (+86): From mid-March 2026, official SMS messages sent by ZA Bank to Mainland China mobile numbers will carry the signature【众安】. If users with Mainland China mobile numbers receive an SMS message without the 【众安】 signature, please be on high alert;
- ZA Bank does not handle any matters related to third-party merchant accounts. Please disregard any messages suggesting otherwise.
- Do not click on unknown links or call unfamiliar numbers;
- Never disclose sensitive personal information (such as username, PIN, one-time password (OTP), or ZA Card details) to anyone via phone call or email.

<h1 style="text-align: center;">Refined measures for real-time fund transfers</h1>
&nbsp;
We would like to inform you that we have adopted enhanced measures for real-time fund transfers through the Faster Payment System (&ldquo;FPS&rdquo;) and our intra-bank fund transfer system to align with guidelines issued by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. This is to help reduce the chances of incorrect fund transfers made by customers, which are due to mistakenly inputting the wrong payee bank account number. Just a reminder: a) When you make a real-time fund transfer through FPS, you should carefully verify the payment details, including, among others, the payee's name and account number, etc. It is unlikely that you can stop a transfer after it has been effected.
(b) Where (i) you as a payer input the payee's bank account number as the identifier and (ii) the payee institution is a retail bank, fund transfers of HKD 1,000 or above (or other currencies of an equivalent amount) will generally be subject to the payee bank's own name checking process.&nbsp;
(c) In other cases, such as fund transfers of less than HKD 1,000 (or other currencies of an equivalent amount) or if the payee institution is not a retail bank, the name checking process may not be conducted. Beware of phishing email
&nbsp;
ZA Bank reminds users to be cautious of a phishing email purported to be sent by the Bank. The email falsely claimed to be from ZA Bank, and requested a payment from the recipient and suggested opening an attachment.
We have no connection with the phishing email involved, and the case has been reported to Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Police for further investigation. Users are advised to delete the suspicious email without opening any links or attachments in the email, and not to disclose any personal information including login credentials and ZA Card details. ZA Bank will not request users to log into its website or mobile app to conduct transactions through SMS or hyperlinks in emails, nor will the Bank ask users to provide any sensitive personal or ZA Card information through hyperlinks.

For users who have agreed to receive our direct marketing emails, we will send them from bank.update@mail.za.group.
In addition to the above channels of communication, we may contact users with other dedicated email addresses for business purposes. These emails will always include a personal or account identifier and may include a clickable link that will lead users to our official website for further information. We will never ask for users&rsquo; login credentials or ZA Card details.

ZA Bank Limited (&ldquo;We, us&rdquo;) are updating our &ldquo;General Account Terms and Conditions&rdquo;, &ldquo;ZA Card Terms and Conditions&rdquo; and &ldquo;Terms and conditions for use of ZA Card through a digital wallet&rdquo; (&ldquo;Revised Terms&rdquo;), which will take effect from 30 June 2024. Please read this notice of amendment carefully for the benefit of your protection.
We have outlined the key changes to the Revised Terms (&ldquo;Amendments&rdquo;) in the table below for your information. These Amendments are made in order to:
General Account Terms and Conditions (applicable to personal banking and business banking customers):
<ol>
<li>1. Clarify and specify your obligations regarding payments and fund transfers, and in giving instructions to make payments or effect transactions.</li>
<li>2. Clarify about limitation of our liability and that we are not liable for any delay, unavailability, disruption, failure, error of or caused by any Anti-fraud Database (or any information available on it), or arising from any circumstances beyond our reasonable control, and any risk alert or the processing or execution of funds transfer Instruction affected by a risk alert unless arising directly and solely from our gross negligence or wilful default or that of our officers, employees or agents.</li>
<li>3.&nbsp; A more accurate description of the terms of a Time Deposit account, including a description of the maturity date of the Time Deposit and instructions for the automatic renewal of the Time Deposit and the annual interest rate.</li>
<li>4. To modify definition of &ldquo;PIN&rdquo; and add &ldquo;Authentication Factors&rdquo;, and supplement all reasonable precautions and security measures recommended by us for you to secure your Authentication Factors and electronic equipment.</li>
<li>5. To add that we will contribute and receive information from FINEST, which is an information sharing platform operated by HKPF in response to the evolving fraud, mule account and financial crime landscape.</li>
</ol>
ZA Card Terms and Condition (applicable to individual customers):
<ol>
<li>1. Regarding the newly added definition of "Authentication Factors" in the "General Account Terms and Conditions", the circumstances and handling of Authentication Factors when using ZA Card are added and supplemented, including the corresponding procedures for the Bank and you when the Authentication Factors have been stolen or lost or Authentication Factors or your card information has been compromised.</li>
<li>2. To supplement all reasonable precautions and security measures recommended by us for you to secure your Authentication Factors and ZA Card.</li>

Terms and conditions for use of ZA Card through a digital wallet (applicable to individual customers):
<ol>
<li>1. Regarding the newly added definition of "Authentication Factors" in the "General Account Terms and Conditions", the circumstances and handling of Authentication Factors when using ZA Card through a digital wallet are added and supplemented.</li>
<li>2. To supplement all reasonable precautions and security measures recommended by us for you to secure your Authentication Factors.</li>

According to the Hong Kong Association of Banks, starting from 28 January 2024, retail and virtual banks who have joined the SMS Sender Registration Scheme (the &ldquo;Scheme&rdquo;)*, which is operated by the Office of the Communications Authority, will use Registered SMS Sender IDs (&ldquo;Sender IDs&rdquo;) with the prefix "#" to send one-way SMS messages to their users.
As ZA Bank is a registrant of this Scheme, starting on 28 January 2024, ZA Bank will send you SMS messages with Sender IDs including #ZABank, #ZA Bank or #ZA_Bank. &nbsp;As a warm reminder, if you receive an SMS message without the prefix &ldquo;#&rdquo; indicating that it was sent from an unregistered and unknown sender, please always stay vigilant and be cautious of SMS messages from unknown origin. Please do not disclose any information, including personal information and bank account numbers, to unidentified senders, access any hyperlinks in the SMS, or transfer money as requested to avoid suffering any loss. Your personal deposit account that you opened at ZA Bank will be classified as inactive, where those account have no financial transactions initiated by the Bank for 18 months(such as interest and charges), will be classified as inactive accounts.
You will not be able to use your account for any financial transactions, including but not limited to transfer, Add money, place time deposits and loan application. You will therefore need to reactivate your inactive account through the ZA Bank App.

Suspicious websites alert

ZA Bank would like to alert our customers and mass public on recent fraud cases on suspicious recruitment websites. Visitors to such websites may be told to transfer money to fraudsters&rsquo; bank accounts. For details, please refer to the alert message published on the Hong Kong Police's social media platform (<a style="color: #f8ac02;" href="https://www.facebook.com/HongKongPoliceForce/posts/382724633884856" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Link</a>).
Please note that:

<li>&bull; Don't transfer your money to unknown party account</li>
</ul>
 If you've noticed any suspicious websites, please report to the Anti-Deception Coordination Centre hotline of the Hong Kong Police at (852) 18222. In case customers suspect to fall victim to any scam or have disclosed any personal information with any suspicious person through the website, please contact the Police and alert us immediately through the Online Chat or call our 24/7 Customer Service hotline on (852) 3665 3665 as soon as possible.

Update on transfer limit for Business Internet Banking
&nbsp;
Starting from 30 Jun 2022, we&rsquo;ll adjust the transfer limit for Business Internet Banking. There will be 3 types of transfer limit:
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;*&nbsp; Same-name Account Transfer Limit: to transfer funds to your same-name ZA Bank accounts without any limit
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;*&nbsp; Third-party Account Transfer Limit: to transfer funds to any third-party bank accounts, subject to the set transfer limit.
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Types of transfer include local third-party account transfer (within ZA Bank or other local banks), overseas bank account
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; transfer and batch payment
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;*&nbsp; Payroll Limit: to pay salary to your employees&rsquo; accounts via our payroll service, subject to the set transfer limit

Update on transfer limit for Business Internet Banking

An update on &lsquo;Easy Deposit&rsquo; (Effective from 1 May 2022)
&nbsp;
Starting from 1 May 2022, we&rsquo;ll amend the following service of &lsquo;Easy Deposit&rsquo;:
<ul>
<li>&bull;&nbsp; Add Airstar Bank Limited to the list of banks which support adding money to ZA Bank via &lsquo;Easy Deposit&rsquo; for free, with a single transaction limit of HKD 1,000,000.</li>
<li>&bull;&nbsp; The free transaction limit of adding money from Hang Seng Bank Limited will be reduced from HKD 10,000 to HKD 2,000. Such change also applies to users who have previously linked their accounts with that bank via &lsquo;Easy Deposit&rsquo;.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

Once the changes are effective, here is the list of the banks that you can add money via &lsquo;Easy Deposit&rsquo; for free:

We're updating the Fees and Charges Guide for Individual Customers (&ldquo;Fees and Charges Guide&rdquo;), which will be effective from 1 June 2022. 1.95% Cross-border Transaction Fee (1% charged by Visa, 0.95% charged by ZA Bank) If you conduct a Hong Kong dollar transaction (including a refund) on ZA Card, whether in Hong Kong or overseas, and that transaction is processed overseas because the merchant or acquirer is registered in a place other than Hong Kong, Cross-border Transaction Fee will be charged. The Cross-border Transaction Fee will be charged in circumstances where the overseas merchant or acquirer has already converted the transaction into Hong Kong dollars, or you have asked them to do so. The Cross-border Transaction Fee will apply if you are offered the option to, and choose to, settle a foreign currency transaction in Hong Kong dollars at a point of sale overseas. Such option is a direct arrangement offered by the overseas merchant and not ZA Bank. You are reminded to ask the merchant for details about the foreign currency exchange rate and any applicable fees before you enter into the transaction because settling foreign currency transactions in Hong Kong dollars may involve a cost higher than Foreign Currency Transaction Fee.
