Beware of phishing email
&nbsp;
ZA Bank reminds users to be cautious of a phishing email purported to be sent by the Bank. The email falsely claimed to be from ZA Bank, and requested a payment from the recipient and suggested opening an attachment.
We have no connection with the phishing email involved, and the case has been reported to Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Police for further investigation. Users are advised to delete the suspicious email without opening any links or attachments in the email, and not to disclose any personal information including login credentials and ZA Card details. ZA Bank will not request users to log into its website or mobile app to conduct transactions through SMS or hyperlinks in emails, nor will the Bank ask users to provide any sensitive personal or ZA Card information through hyperlinks.

Please read this notice of amendment carefully for the benefit of your protection.
We have outlined the key changes to the Revised Terms (&ldquo;Amendments&rdquo;) in the table below for your information. These Amendments are made in order to:
General Account Terms and Conditions (applicable to personal banking and business banking customers):

<li>1. Clarify and specify your obligations regarding payments and fund transfers, and in giving instructions to make payments or effect transactions.</li>
<li>2. Clarify about limitation of our liability and that we are not liable for any delay, unavailability, disruption, failure, error of or caused by any Anti-fraud Database (or any information available on it), or arising from any circumstances beyond our reasonable control, and any risk alert or the processing or execution of funds transfer Instruction affected by a risk alert unless arising directly and solely from our gross negligence or wilful default or that of our officers, employees or agents.</li>
<li>3.&nbsp; A more accurate description of the terms of a Time Deposit account, including a description of the maturity date of the Time Deposit and instructions for the automatic renewal of the Time Deposit and the annual interest rate.</li>
<li>4. To modify definition of &ldquo;PIN&rdquo; and add &ldquo;Authentication Factors&rdquo;, and supplement all reasonable precautions and security measures recommended by us for you to secure your Authentication Factors and electronic equipment.</li>

As ZA Bank is a registrant of this Scheme, starting on 28 January 2024, ZA Bank will send you SMS messages with Sender IDs including #ZABank, #ZA Bank or #ZA_Bank. &nbsp;As a warm reminder, if you receive an SMS message without the prefix &ldquo;#&rdquo; indicating that it was sent from an unregistered and unknown sender, please always stay vigilant and be cautious of SMS messages from unknown origin. Please do not disclose any information, including personal information and bank account numbers, to unidentified senders, access any hyperlinks in the SMS, or transfer money as requested to avoid suffering any loss. Understanding inactive account
Your personal deposit account that you opened at ZA Bank will be classified as inactive, where those account have no financial transactions initiated by the Bank for 18 months(such as interest and charges), will be classified as inactive accounts.
You will not be able to use your account for any financial transactions, including but not limited to transfer, Add money, place time deposits and loan application. You will therefore need to reactivate your inactive account through the ZA Bank App.

Update on transfer limit for Business Internet Banking

Starting from 30 Jun 2022, we&rsquo;ll adjust the transfer limit for Business Internet Banking. There will be 3 types of transfer limit:
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;*&nbsp; Same-name Account Transfer Limit: to transfer funds to your same-name ZA Bank accounts without any limit
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;*&nbsp; Third-party Account Transfer Limit: to transfer funds to any third-party bank accounts, subject to the set transfer limit.
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Types of transfer include local third-party account transfer (within ZA Bank or other local banks), overseas bank account

Watch out! We recently noticed attempts by fraudsters, who claimed to be staff of ZA Bank, to inform users about third-party inward transfers via SMS sent from a mobile number.
We&rsquo;d like to remind you that ZA Bank won&rsquo;t send you any SMS from a mobile number. We won&rsquo;t ask you to call a mobile number for enquiries about our products and services either. Never share any sensitive personal information with suspicious persons (e.g. HKID number, login password, one-time passwords, etc.)

We are optimising the application procedures and strengthening our risk management for the 100% Personal Loan Guarantee Scheme (&lsquo;the Scheme&rsquo;). ZA Bank would like to alert members of the public to suspicious intermediaries which try to steal personal information or assets through helping residents apply for products or services provided by banks.
Please note that ZA Bank did not appoint any intermediaries to help residents apply for products and services. Please do not disclose your sensitive personal information (e.g. ID card number, PIN, one-time password) to anyone. Furthermore, no staff from ZA Bank would ask for any sensitive personal information via calls or emails, or request you to transfer funds to a third-party personal account.

An update on &lsquo;Easy Deposit&rsquo;

User experience has always been our drive to keep moving forward and upward. We&rsquo;ll amend the services of &lsquo;Easy Deposit&rsquo;, effective from 1 Aug 2021:

<li>&bull;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;In the meantime, the single transaction limit for depositing money from&nbsp;The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited,&nbsp;Bank of China (Hong Kong),&nbsp;China CITIC Bank International Limited&nbsp;and&nbsp;Nanyang Commercial Bank Limited&nbsp;will be reduced from HKD 10,000 to HKD 2,000. A gentle reminder that such change also applies to users who have previously linked their accounts with these banks via &lsquo;Easy Deposit&rsquo;.</li>
