Beware of Fraudulent SMS Messages
ZA Bank has recently identified incidents involving fraudulent SMS messages impersonating our name. We urge all users to remain vigilant. Do not respond to such messages, click on suspicious links, or call any unknown phone numbers.
We would like to make the following clear:
- Effective from 28 January 2024, ZA Bank has been issuing text messages under the sender names “#ZABank”, “#ZA Bank”, or “#ZA_Bank”. Should you receive a message that does not commence with the “#” symbol, please be advised that it may have originated from an unregistered or unauthenticated sender.
- ZA Bank does not handle any matters related to third-party merchant accounts. Please disregard any messages suggesting otherwise.
- Do not click on unknown links or call unfamiliar numbers;
- Never disclose sensitive personal information (such as username, PIN, one-time password (OTP), or ZA Card details) to anyone via phone call or email.
